How do I assign questions to another user
Other users must first be set up in your SEMS member data base (see Manage Users above) before questions can be assigned or delegated to them. The SEMS Principal, the person responsible for the assessment can assign questions to anyone so long as they are set up in the member database first; managers (producers, management, office staff, production team) or suppliers.
Questions can be assigned either by clicking on the “Assign Questions” tab
OR
By clicking on the icon next to the name of the person assigned the question in the “Assign to” Column in each question.
Using the “Assign Questions” tab is preferable when there are a large number of questions to assign to individual users or multiple suppliers.
Assigning via a specific question is a better choice when only a small number of questions are to be assigned to individual users or to re-assign specific question/s. This is also preferable when the user is getting to know the questions being asked within the SEMS assessment.
To assign the question, click on either “Production Staff, Manager” or “Supplier”, then the name of the user. To select more than one user, use the “ctrl” button and click the name of the users. To un-select user/s, repeat the action of “ctrl” + click. To select multiple questions repeat this process. When the question has been successfully re-assigned, the user/s assigned to the question will receive an email notification and that user name/s will be associated with that question.
The user/s can then log-in, at which point the relevant Event name will now appear in the event listing on the dashboard. From this point that user can access the event to answer the questions. The user/s can only answer questions they are assigned to.
If you assign a question to multiple suppliers this is how your question will look:
As each supplier answers a question on their own question dashboard, the answer is updated in real-time in the SEMS Principal’s question dashboard.
- A single question can be assigned to any member.
- A single question can be assigned to multiple suppliers.
- Multiple questions can be assigned to one manager or more than one supplier (multiple).
